Jackson Industrial Development Company (JIDC)

The Jackson Industrial Development Company (JIDC) was formed in April of 1962 for the purpose of recruiting the retaining industry in Jackson.
Since 1962, the JIDC has been involved in many projects.
The first industry recruited to Jackson was Lee-Rowen, now Rubbermaid.
Other industries that the JIDC have either brought to Jackson or helped with expansion are:
- American Railcar Industry
- NLC – Lenco
- Ocean Plastics
- Relocation of Coca Cola
- Midwest Sterilization
- Busey’s Trucking
- B&B Door
- Signature Packaging and Paper
- Associated Sheet Metal
- Langford Service
Currently the JIDC owns the Jackson Industrial Park on Route PP (South Farmington).
